Membership
The Fiscal year of the Association shall begin on July 1st and end on June 30th of the following year. The term of each membership in the Association shall coincide with the Association's fiscal year. Annual membership must be renewed prior to January 31 of the fiscal year to remain a member in good standing and to qualify for the member rate during conference registration.

Airport Membership
Any airport in North Carolina may become an Airport member of the Association upon written application by the owner or its authorized representative to the Association in the form prescribed by the Board of Directors, payment of the annual membership fees and approval by the Board of Directors. Only Airport members shall have voting privileges in directing the affairs of the Association. Voting privileges shall be exercised as directed by the Airport owner. Each Airport member shall be entitled to one (1) vote in any matter requiring balloting by the Association.
The fee for Airport Membership is $40 per person.


Professional Membership
An individual employed as staff by or directly associated with the management or operation of a North Carolina airport may become a Professional Member (non-voting) of the Association upon written application to the Association in the form prescribed by the Board of Directors, payment of the annual membership fee and approval by the Board of Directors.
The fee for Professional Membership is $40 per person.


Affilate Membership
An individual, group, company or organization not employed as staff by, nor directly associated with a North Carolina airport which is an Airport Member of the Association, but having an interest in North Carolina's airports and the Association, may become an Affiliate Member of the Association upon written application to the Association in the form prescribed by the Board of Directors, payment of the annual membership fee and approval by the Board of Directors.  No Affiliate Member shall hold an office, be a Director, nor have any voting privileges in directing the affairs of the Association.
The fee for Affiliate Membership is $75 per person.


Honorary Membership
Any individual having an interest in North Carolina's airports and the Association and who is considered to have rendered distinguished service to one or more airports in North Carolina over a period of not less than five (5) years, may be elected an Honorary Member of the Association by a two-thirds vote of a quorum of the Board of Directors in regular meeting assembled.  Nominations for election to Honorary Membership may be made by an Airport Member, Professional Member or Affiliate Member by written communication to the President, stating therein the basis for such nomination.  There shall be no membership fees for Honorary Members.  No more than two (2) Honorary Memberships shall be awarded during any fiscal year.

    • Acts as the liaison for airports issuing requests to seek contractual or operational resource information.

    • Sponsors or co-sponsors seminars on aviation topics of regional interest throughout the state for its membership.
    • Conducts a professional education annual meeting for members with an associated golf tournament.
  • Scholarship
    • Awards scholarships to an aspiring transportation career-minded individual.

NCAA Regional Chapters

        The North Carolina Airports Association encourages participation in their (3) Regional Chapters.  These
        Regional Chapters develop and conduct workshops and educational forums "close to Home" drawing
        attendance from airports and communities unable to attend the annual conference.  For More
